This virtual problem is about the metabolic effect of diabetes. It will be demonstrated on a dog, and the student will learn about the disorders in the metabolic pathways during diabetes.

Teaching aims are:

• students need to get familiar with the concept of diabetes,
• the effect of changes in a metabolic pathway,
• the effect of the absence of a hormone.
