This virtual problem is about hepatic encephalopathy what is a neuropsychiatric complication of chronic or acute liver dysfunction.

Teaching aims are:

• to summarize the main functions of the liver involved into the degradation of toxins, transformation of nutrient substances absorbed through the intestines, and
• to show a case for failure of the liver.
